A quotation (estimate) tells a prospective customer what work will cost before anyone commits. It is explicitly not an invoice — the footer says so — and it carries a validity period so old prices die on schedule.
- State validity honestly (30 days is common); material prices move.
- Put advance/delivery terms in the terms field — half the disputes in small jobs are about payment stages, not price.
- Taxes: quote "taxes extra as applicable" unless you want to commit to a tax-inclusive figure.
